Are you a specialist physician in general medicine or pediatric medicine looking to work part-time at a child health center (BVC) in a family center? BVC Sjöbo at the Björken family center offers a unique opportunity to work health-promoting with children and their families.

The facility is located in the heart of Skåne with easy commuting from Ystad, Simrishamn, Lund, and Malmö. If you choose to drive, we offer free parking outside the health center.

Here, you will work alongside an engaged team of 4 experienced nurses. We have about 1,000 registered children at our family center. We take pride in our interdisciplinary collaboration, which creates a dynamic and innovative care environment where you can develop and contribute your expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible, together with the BVC nurses, for conducting medical consultations at the BVC according to the national child health care program for children aged 0-6 years and according to the procurement document for Child Health Care 2026. This also includes supporting our registered children and their families. Support is available through the national handbook for child health care and the Development Unit for Child Health. You will also mentor resident and specialist training physicians when they shadow at the BVC.

If you choose to work at Vårdcentralen Sjöbo, you will be responsible, together with other professional groups at the health center, for investigating, treating, and following up on patients. We have, among other things, medical consultations, nurse consultations, services in elderly care, asthma/COPD, and diabetes, as well as a comprehensive physiotherapeutic and psychosocial service. There is also an occupational therapist and dietitian. Home care in the municipality is also under our responsibility.

We have an acute team with adapted facilities, weekly REKO rounds to systematically work with sick leave, and have also established a training health center for specialist training physicians. Our goal is to contribute to good health and quality of life for our patients by ensuring they come into contact with the right person and receive the right care and treatment. We continuously work to develop our operations to offer our patients good and close care.

You will have your own registered patients based on your working hours. Continuing education and collegial collaboration are prioritized areas to enable a stimulating and attractive work environment.

The position can be part-time, full-time, or hourly employment. There is an opportunity for full-time, which can then be combined with work at VC Sjöbo in the same building.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare, and you have specialist training in general medicine or pediatric medicine. Language skills in Swedish equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are also required.
